The Coordinating Editor is responsible, in conjunction with the Review Group Co-ordinator and other editors, for ensuring that the protocols and reviews registered by authors are appropriate to the Group’s scope, that they pass through an appropriate editorial process before publication on The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, and that they meet the high standards of The Cochrane Collaboration. S/he may also have methodological expertise in particular areas of systematic reviewing, and so act as advisor to other authors. The Co-ordinating Editor provide support to the Review Group Co-ordinator; and is available to discuss the ongoing progress of reviews and protocols, correspondence and other matters at regular, frequent intervals.

The RGC has the following responsibilities:
- assist the Directors in all roles
- coordinate the activities of contributors to the PHRG
- prepare and deliver presentations on the aims and work of the the PHRG
- preparing, producing and updating PHRG communication methods (newsletter, web-page, conference papers, journal submissions etc)
- organise meetings & promotional workshops
- prepare and maintains the PHRG Module on The Cochrane Library
- co-ordinate the submission of the PHRG Monitoring document
- maintain the PHRG database of contacts
- liaise with other Cochrane entities where appropriate

Knowledge Translation and Training Fellow

The Knowledge Translation and Training Fellow has the following responsibilities:
- Scoping the systematic review training and support needs of the public health workforce
- Identifying the opportunities in postgraduate degrees for the introduction of systematic review training into their curriculum
- Developing a training packages to meet the identified needs
- Conducting training in the use and conduct of systematic reviews in health promotion and public health
- Provide ongoing support for Cochrane reviewers of health promotion and public health interventions

The TSC has the following responsibilities:
- Identifying studies for inclusion in the PHRG specialised studies register
- Discussing and advising on the develop of search strategies with authors before they begin their search
- May include running search strategies
- Obtaining hard copies of studies where possible
- Coordinating handsearching activities
- Submitting trials from the specialised register every quarter for inclusion The Cochrane Library's main trials database (currently known as CENTRAL).

Membership
The PHRG currently has a contact database of over 400 individuals who have expressed an interest in contributing in some way to the PHRG. Membership is free and those on the database will receive the bi-annual PHRG electronic newsletter. The database is also used to link individuals to opportunities to participate in other Cochrane activities (such as peer reviewing a Cochrane protocol around their area of interest or expertise).
